Milopotamos, Pelion

In the Aegean side of East Pelion is Milopotamos, one of the most famous and picturesque beaches attracting every year thousands of visitors during summer months. Its exotic characteristics are the golden sand combined with thin white pebbles and the turquoise waters. At the middle of the beach is a big rock that continues through the sea and seems to be splitting the beach into half. The only point that the two sides connect is through a hole in the rock. The entire beach is surrounded by rocks while on the other side is a stream whose waters reach the sea. Worth mentioning is that the sea in Milopotamos has earned for years the blue flag award for its clean waters.

Some umbrellas and sunbeds are available and also changing rooms and a beach bar (within the rock). Above the beach area are coffee shops and taverns. Also present is a lifeguard providing safety to your swims. On the rock there’s also a climbing course for the lovers of this activity.

The closest village to Milopotamos is Tsagkarada, only few kilometers away. Access to the beach is easy either by car or by bus from Tsagkarada. However, note that if going by car, during weekends, holidays and peak times, parking isn’t easy. Also remember that you park your car above the beach and walk down steps to reach the beach.
